The White House invited James Taylor, a folk musician, to assist Democrats in launching a celebration of “Inflation Reduction Act”, on the South Lawn.

To celebrate Biden’s multibillion-dollar green electricity spending bill disguised under the heading of an “inflation relief” law, the aging folk musician performed “Fire & Rain” for the crowd of Democrats on South Lawn.

After finishing his song, Taylor stated that “This is an era when the world must cooperate more than ever before”, perhaps more than any time since the Second World War. The world needs to come together to address the climate crisis.

He said, “I believe that people should see it as a great chance to come together and protect our home and recognize the uniqueness our great fortune of living here on this planet.”

Taylor invited Kim Taylor, his wife, to the stage to sing with him a lullaby that they used to sing to the children and a rendition “America the Beautiful”.

James Taylor was playing, and the stock market continued to fall. The Dow Jones dropped by more than 1,000 points as a result of data showing that August’s inflation rate continued to rise.

Biden thanked folk singers for their performances, and claimed that James Taylor’s voice was “healing our souls and unites us all.”

Since 2015, when Taylor first performed “You’ve got a Friend” in Paris with then-Secretary John Kerry, Taylor has not participated in a major political event.
